Iachini admitted he wanted all the spoils, but was happy with the performance from his men.
“We came here, as always, to score three points,” he said. “In front of us we had a quality opponent who was playing for important points.

“We came here, as always, to score three points,” he said. “In front of us we had a quality opponent who was playing for important points.
“It was a tense and tactical game. We made a few mistakes in the build-up, I think it was because of the tension of the direct clash.
“We were wrong technically, but our attitude, mentality and concentration was not lacking at all for 95 minutes.
“We wanted to do more but it’s OK, I understand the pathos and importance of the match. It’s a step forward, we give continuity to the fact that we haven’t conceded.
“Let’s not forget that we play every three days and must pay a bit. The result is important and we didn’t risk anything.”
Franck Ribery did not participate and Iachini revealed he had picked up a knock against Lazio.
“Franck is an extraordinary guy, I know he cheered on his teammates,” he said. “Unfortunately he took a hit against Lazio and today we didn’t have him available.
“But he’s always close to the team. He has never betrayed this great, at least since I returned.”
Iachini said at the press conference that he’s risking his health working for the Viola and explained what he meant.
“For me, who played six years in Florence, when I coach Fiorentina, it’s not just any team,” he said. “I’m respected and loved, there’s a human and emotional aspect that makes me feel more.
“Those who are outside don’t perceive it, but I have found a lot of tension and concern for these last matches.
