The Italian oriundo has been linked with a move away from the Rosanero after a sterling season in which he has topped the assist charts.

Juventus are thought to be among the teams interested, but the player says he wants to find a solution which works for his current side.

“At the moment all I’m thinking about is doing well in a Palermo shirt until the end of the season,” Vazquez told Sky.

“Then I’ll discuss with the board what would be the best solution for the club.”

Despite nine Serie A assists this season, the 26-year-old has not scored since February’s 3-1 win over Napoli, but Vazquez insists he’s not worried.

“I think I’ve just been unlucky. I just hope I don’t hit the post as much as I have been recently.”

Finally, after being given his Italy debut in Tuesday’s friendly with England, the new Azzurri star discussed the controversy over oriundi.

“I feel Italian because of my mum,” Vazquez said.

“That’s all I can say.”
