"Failure at Milan? I needed time, I needed to play,” the 23-year-old said to Gazzetta dello Sport.
“People don’t realise that it’s difficult to show everything you can do in a few minutes.

“The criticism of Milan fans for my sale increased my regret. As a fan and someone who dreams of being a Milan player I wanted to do well, but I was helpless.
“Allegri wanted me, but without him it was more complicated.
"I'm a guy who has a passion and cultivates it. I don’t deserve the classic image of a superficial footballer, I’m obsessive.
“I know that to achieve my goals I must score goals. I want success so much that I’m willing to make more sacrifices than usual.
“If I had another life, I would still be like that. Daniele Rugani is like me – he begins training already sweaty, after doing a couple of hours alone.”
