Sinisa Mihajlovic insists he got the most out of Milan during his time as Rossoneri boss.

The now-Torino Coach was in charge at the San Siro between 2015 and 2016 but was sacked shortly before the end of his first season at the helm.

However, as he prepares to take the Granata to the home of his former employers, the Serb expressed his belief that he couldn’t have done much more given the resources at his disposal.

“I don’t look at others, but at Milan I didn’t do badly,” Mihajlovic commented.

“I don’t look at others, but at Milan I didn’t do badly,” Mihajlovic commented.

“We were sixth in the table and in the final of the Coppa Italia, but despite that I couldn’t finish the season.

“To get into the Champions League this season, they have changed nine starters in the squad.”

The Torino Coach also stressed that the continued presence of Alessio Romagnoli and Gigio Donnarumma in the Milan line-up is further proof he performed well as Rossoneri boss.

“Of the two still there, I signed Romagnoli and I launched Donnarumma’s career.

“I don’t know what would have happened if I’d had the same opportunities, that is fantasy.

“At Milan, I gave and I got the best out of the team I had available.”
