Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s agent has declared “Inter would give him the chance to show is a great player” more than Arsenal or Liverpool.
The Dutch striker is out of contract at the end of the season and expected to leave Schalke 04 in January.
While the Premier League has until now been the rumoured destination with Liverpool and Arsenal targeting the player, his agent has other ideas.
“He would not mind playing in Milan again, especially because Inter would give him the chance to show he is a great player,” agent Arnold Oosterveer told Metro.
This would act as ‘revenge’ for Huntelaar, who was considered a huge flop in his short stint at Milan.
He arrived from Real Madrid for a reported €15m in August 2009, but was sold to Schalke a year later for €12m, having scored just seven goals in 25 games.
It is believed Schalke are willing to release the Oranje star for £10m, so he is also a target for Juventus now that Nicklas Bendtner is out for up to three months.
