Dean Huijsen confirms his Juventus exit with a heartfelt message on social media but says he wanted to ‘show more’ at the Allianz Stadium and suggests he will be back one day.

Huijsen is set to complete a permanent €18m transfer to Bournemouth, undergoing medical tests with the Premier League side on Saturday.

Huijsen joined the Juventus youth sector from Malaga when he was only 16 years old and made one appearance with the Bianconeri senior team.

He spent the second part of the previous campaign on loan at Roma, making 14 appearances and scoring two goals across all competitions with the Giallorossi.

Born in the Netherlands but with a Spanish passport, Huijsen has decided to play for La Roja and recently made his debut with their U21 squad.

The promising defender confirmed his Juventus exit on Instagram on Friday.

Huijsen confirms Juventus exit and reveals regret ahead of Bournemouth transfer

“I arrived at Vinovo at 16 with a heart full of hope, emotion, and the dream of wearing the first team shirt one day. I’ve known a great club with fantastic people who helped me in my path and I will forever be thankful for what they’ve given me,” he wrote.

“Thanks to all the fans who believed in me. I wanted to show even more of my ability while playing at the Allianz Stadium, but your passion and love for this team still pushed me always to give my best.

“Thanks for welcoming me and for sharing with me joy and pain. Juventus will forever be a fundamental part of my heart and my life.

“This is not a definitive farewell but a goodbye. I will continue following and supporting you wherever I go.

“With affection and gratitude, Dean Huijsen.”

Following Huijsen’s sale to Bournemouth, Juventus will make an opening offer for Jean-Clair Todibo who can join the Serie A giants on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.
