AFC Bournemouth are in a transfer market duel with VfB Stuttgart for Juventus talent Dean Huijsen and are pushing to complete a deal.

The German side finished second in the Bundesliga last term, one point ahead of Bayern Munich, and are gearing up for their first Champions League campaign in over a decade, keen to maintain momentum under coach Sebastian Hoeness.

Juventus are trying to ship out Huijsen in order to generate some much-needed resources for the transfer market, having struggled to sell off Matias Soule to the Premier League after Roma’s insistence on a lower-than-expected deal.

Stuttgart fight Bournemouth for Huijsen

Gianluca Di Marzio details how VfB Stuttgart are seriously interested in picking up both Gudmundsson and Huijsen this summer, studying both players in depth. Talks have already been opened with Genoa and things could progress with Juventus soon.

Bournemouth are also interested in snapping up the Bianconeri talent and are ready to fight to bring the Dutch-Spanish defender to the Premier League, Fabrizio Romano notes.
