Former Serie A hitman Dario Hubner insists Inter’s strike force is if anything ‘stronger’ after Romelu Lukaku left, but Alvaro Morata ‘can never’ replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.
The legendary ‘Bison’ was a hero for Calcio fans at Brescia and Piacenza in the early 2000s, taking the Capocannoniere title in 2002 with 24 goals in 33 games.
He cast his eye over the current Scudetto contenders and specifically their forward options.
“Inter are still a good team, Lazio, Napoli and Roma will have a good season and Juve will emerge again,” Hubner told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Milan can challenge for the title too, I think it’ll be six teams fighting it out and a great deal will also depend on the cup competitions. I still see the Nerazzurri out in front of everyone.”
Lukaku was their top scorer last season, but Hubner feels Inter have made the right picks with Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa, but also the arrival of coach Simone Inzaghi for Antonio Conte.
“Inter lost Lukaku, but now have three really good forwards and their front line is stronger now. They changed playing style with Inzaghi and this team can do really well.
“Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic can play together at Milan, but they both need to run pretty hard.”
Juventus also sold Ronaldo to Manchester United and the Capocannoniere is trickier to replace.
“It’s not easy to lose someone who scored 25 goals, but the style of play will change. Paulo Dybala will score more regularly, but Morata can never get 25 goals in Serie A.
“Moise Kean has what it takes physically and technically, it all depends on his mind.”
