How to watch BT Sport

BT Sport is only available in the United Kingdom, as well as the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Anyone wanting to watch BT Sport outside of the territories in which it is available would need to use a VPN, such as ExpressVPN, to log-in to their BT Sport account.

To watch BT Sport with ExpressVPN, follow the three steps below:

1. Sign-up to ExpressVPN and download it to your device

2. Open ExpressVPN and select a server in the UK

3. Use the BT Sport website or app to watch online

BT Sport has attempted to block all VPN access to its products. If accessing your BT Sport account through a VPN doesn’t work then there are a few ways to solve the issue.

First, try deleting cookies from the device you’re using. This information may tell BT Sport your location and enable them to prevent you accessing your BT Sport account on the website or app through a VPN.

Another option is to change the location you are accessing BT Sport from, as this will generate a new IP address that may not have been blocked by BT Sport.

If neither of those steps work then you may need to wait for more IP addresses to be available through your VPN provider.

To watch in the UK, go to BT Sport’s website for information on how to sign-up. A valid TV license is also required.

Serie A on BT Sport

BT Sport’s agreement with Serie A sees more than 200 games from the peninsula shown live, and at least five live games for each round of fixtures. Fronted by veteran presenter James Richardson, BT Sport’s coverage of Italian football also sees former players such as Tony Dorigo, the ex-England defender who spent a season with Torino in the late 1990s, commentate on the fixtures. Stewart Robson, formerly of Arsenal, West Ham and Coventry, is another regular contributor.

Serie A was originally broadcast in the United Kingdom on BSB’s the Sports Channel and Sky Sports, then on Channel 4, with Football Italia launching in 1992 in the wake of Paul Gascoigne’s move to Lazio. Coverage later switched to, among others, Setanta Sports, Eleven Sports and Premier Sports, before BT Sport reclaimed the rights in 2021, having previously shown Serie A between 2013 and 2018.
