Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea held Inter to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge last week, but the Italian tactician makes his competitive debut for the Blues on Sunday. Here’s how to buy tickets for the game.

Former Italy midfielder Maresca is ready for his competitive debut as Chelsea’s coach, which will happen against one of his role models, Pep Guardiola. Maresca spent several years on Pep’s staff at Manchester City and contributed to their Champions League victory in 2022-23.

Maresca replaced Mauricio Pochettino after a disastrous season that saw the Blues finish sixth in the table despite huge investments in the market. This means that Chelsea will play in the Conference League this term and could meet Serie A side Fiorentina, finalists in the last two editions.

Maresca has signed a contract until June 2029 at Stamford Bridge with an option for a further campaign, becoming the seventh Italian coach at Stamford Bridge.

“It’s one of the reasons for sure [I joined],” Maresca told Chelsea’s official website in his first interview last month.

“I’m very proud to be an Italian manager here again. There is probably something between Chelsea as a club, as a family, and as Italian people that works well.

“I played under (Carlo) Ancelotti, (Marcello) Lippi, (Manuel) Pellegrini, all of them are very important managers,” he said. We all try to take things and then we create our own box with all these things inside.

“I’m very excited. One of the reasons I’m here is because I’m convinced the squad is very good and full of talent.”

Can I still buy tickets for Chelsea vs Man City?

Chelsea have sold out Stamford Bridge for the first Premier League game of the season and the same goes for Manchester City, who will see their fans fill the away section with over 3,000 supporters. However, there are still a couple of ways to get tickets and watch Maresca’s debut in the Blues’ dugout.

The Premier League side have a limited number of hospitality ticks on sale, which cost up to £3,200 per person.

A cheaper alternative is LiveFootballTickets.com, whose prices begin at €187. Their service is super safe, and fans receive a 150% money-back guarantee on all ticket purchases.

Tickets for this weekend’s game are currently up to 94% cheaper on livefootballtickets.com than Chelsea’s most expensive hospitality ticket via the club.

Their reliable customer service channel is one of the reasons that has allowed them to earn a five-star rating on Trustpilot.
