Juventus have been docked 10 points for the current Serie A campaign, meaning Lazio have officially qualified for the Champions League, leaving five clubs fighting for the remaining two spots.

A 10-point penalty for Max Allegri’s men was confirmed on Monday evening while the Bianconeri are playing an away game at Empoli, the last one in Serie A week 36.

The new point deduction means the Old Lady now have 59 points, dropping from second to seventh.

Lazio are now second with 68 points, seven more than fifth-placed Atalanta. This means Maurizio Sarri’s men have officially qualified for the 2023-24 Champions League alongside Serie A champions Napoli.

Inter, Milan, Atalanta, Roma and Juventus are still in the race for the top four. Juventus have 59 points but could climb to 62 and leapfrog Atalanta if they beat Empoli tonight, going two points below, Milan their next opponent in serie A.
