Inter, Fiorentina, Lazio and Napoli are in the Supercoppa Italiana, which could be worth €8m to the winning team in this new Final Four format in Saudi Arabia.

The dates were changed a few times before they were finally locked down due to the new venue and shape of the competition.

Traditionally, it was only between the holders of the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto winners, but now includes the runners-up for both those trophies too.

They are all played at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh at 19.00 GMT, Napoli-Fiorentina on January 18 and Inter-Lazio on January 19.

The winners of the two semi-finals will then face off on January 22, again at 19.00 GMT.

If the games are level after 90 minutes, they go straight to a penalty shoot-out without waiting for extra time.

VAR, Goal-Line Technology and the Semi-Automatic Offside systems will all be in use.

Calcio e Finanza analysed the paperwork and found the Lega Serie A receives €23m from Saudi Arabia for letting them host the event, with €16.2m of that going to the clubs.

The losing semi-finalists receive €1.6m each, the beaten Finalist gets €5m and the winner of the Supercoppa Italiana takes home €8m.

That is a huge improvement on last season when the Supercoppa was a one-off match with a total €7.5m in prize money shared between the two clubs.
