Before jetting off to Istanbul for the Champions League final against Manchester City on June 10, Inter have their final Serie A game of the season against Torino left to play, which could be worth millions in additional prize money.

The Nerazzurri, currently third in Serie A, have already wrapped up their position in the top four, thus guaranteeing their spot in the 2023-24 edition of the Champions League, but Simone Inzaghi’s squad could still finish the league as runners up to Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli

Inter, with a tally of 69 points from 37 games, are currently two points shy of Lazio in second place, but if Maurizio Sarri’s side fail to beat Empoli and Inter win against Torino, their positions in the league will be reversed, given that the two sides are level on goal difference.

There is still a chance that Inter finish the season in fourth if they lose to Torino and fourth-placed Milan beat Hellas Verona on Sunday.

However, if the Champions League finalists do finish the league in second place, it will come with a reward of roughly €5m in extra prize money.

As written by Tuttomercato, Inter will receive around €21m for a third place finish, compared to €26m for finishing the year ranked in second. The same, of course, also goes for Lazio.
