Romelu Lukaku has proven himself to be a key part of the Roma squad this season and Chelsea have now set a price tag on the exiled striker.

The 30-year-old Belgian forward has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise difficult season for the Giallorossi, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists in 26 matches across all competitions. He arrived on a loan deal with no buy option attached from Chelsea last summer.

With his contract in West London expiring in 2026, Chelsea are not willing to send out Lukaku on loan again in the summer, meaning Roma will have to pay up if they want to retain the 30-year-old beyond this season.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Chelsea want approximately €43m for Lukaku in the summer, a fee necessary to avoid make a capital loss on the striker. No discount will be given to Roma, leaving them in a tough spot.

Daniele De Rossi’s side can only hope to make a deal for the Belgian if they secure a top four finish, needing the riches of the Champions League.

Al-Hilal are again planning to try and persuade Lukaku to head to Saudi Arabia in the summer, drawing up a two-year contract worth €30m net per season.
