FIFA announced a cap on agents’ fees from next season, which, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, means Mino Raiola would have gotten €5-6m from Paul Pogba’s move from Juventus to Manchester United, rather than €54m.
A FIFA report shows that $500.8m (circa €443.65m) was spent on intermediary service fees in 2021, €183.18m of it between English and Italian clubs.
FIFA announced plans to impose a 10 per cent cap on agents’ fees from next season. However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, talks between all the parties involved are still ongoing and the cap placed by FIFA could eventually be around 6%.
The pink paper explains how this would impact Mino Raiola, one of the world’s biggest agents and one of his star clients, Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman joined Manchester United in a €100m move from Juventus in 2016. ”With a 6% cap, Raiola would have gotten €5-6m commissions from Pogba rather than €54m,” the report reads.
That’s because the cap will be based on the player’s salary rather than being a fee decided by clubs and agents.
Pogba is among those available as a free agent from January, provided he doesn’t sign a contract extension with Manchester United in the next two weeks.
Many other European stars will see their deals expire in June, including Lorenzo Insigne, Kylian Mbappé and Franck Kessié.

I’d be interested to know what Raiola could have gotten for Donnarumma, assuming the 20 million euro fee he was demanding for himself if Donnarumma signed a contract extension can be trusted. If Donnarumma accepted say even a 10 million salary, does that mean Raiola could have only received 1 million? Is it an annual amount?
Finally some common sense. Those Agents do absolutely nothing in this industry and get pains millions of Euros!!! My Grandmother could sell Pogba to anyone interestet.
