According to reports, the FIGC has earned €28.25m thanks to Italy’s EURO 2020 win, while players will get €250,000 each.

Italy beat England in the UEFA Euro 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, lifting the European trophy for the second time in their history.

According to several reports in Italy, the FIGC has earned €99.25m in bonuses from all the Euros’ editions. No other European side has earned more than the Azzurri.

The victory of EURO 2020 has allowed the FIGC to get €28.25m and part of this sum will be distributed to players.

Giorgio Chiellini and his teammates will earn €250,000 each in bonuses thanks to their achievement, which was unthinkable by many, as Italy coach Roberto Mancini admitted after the game against England.

Calciomercato.com reports the Azzurri would have earned €200,000 each had they lost the Final, €150,000 if they were eliminated in the semis and €80,000 was the prize money for reaching the quarter-finals.
