According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have a 30% sell-on clause over Arek Milik and would get circa €3m if the Poland international joins Juventus.

The Bianconeri have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Marseille over a €2m loan with an obligation to buy for €8m.

Max Allegri is on the lookout for a backup for Dusan Vlahovic and Milik has moved higher on the Bianconeri’s agenda following Memphis Depay’s struggles to free himself from Barcelona.

Milik was close to joining Juventus in 2020, but the Partenopei refused to send the Poland international to Turin despite a contract expiring in June 2021.

The ex-Ajax man was frozen out of the squad in the first part of the campaign and joined Marseille in January 2021.

According to Gazzetta, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis tried to avoid a future move to Serie A, adding a special clause in the deal, but eventually agreed to get the 30% of any future sale of the striker.

Therefore, Napoli will earn slightly more than €3m if Milik returns to Serie A, joining Juventus for a €10m transfer package including loan and obligation to buy.

  1. Rather go for aubamayang – dont want a player who we have to hold up the play – rather feed a player who moves in good positions and attacks
