Matteo Moretto reports that Tottenham are requesting a €20m fee for Brazilian right-back Emerson Royal, although the Rossoneri may be able to negotiate a slight discount on that price tag.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto reports the latest updates on Tottenham defender Emerson Royal, who is in talks with Milan over a permanent move this summer.

Where Milan and Tottenham stand regarding Emerson Royal

Moretto wrote in his Caught Offside Daily Briefing column that representatives from Milan and Tottenham are due to speak again next week, but both parties are hoping to complete the deal.

Though Tottenham have requested €20m, Moretto reports that Milan could end up paying slightly less than that.

What is promising for the Rossoneri is that the 25-year-old has already begun planning for life in Milan. He has already agreed personal terms, and is expected to sign a long-term deal as long as the clubs can agree on fees.

Milan and new coach Paulo Fonseca have several other areas that need looking at during the summer transfer window, particularly at centre-forward, where they have been left with a significant gap following Olivier Giroud’s departure and subsequent move to LAFC.

RedBird advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic is personally in contact with Atletico Madrid striker and captain of the Spain national team, Alvaro Morata.
