Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool will pay over €13m to secure Federico Chiesa’s signature on a permanent transfer from Juventus.
Chiesa is already travelling to Liverpool to undergo medical tests with the Reds and sign a four-year contract.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Italian star told reporters that he couldn’t wait to start a “new adventure” at Anfield.
Chiesa had a year left in his contract at the Allianz Stadium and had been training separately from the first team during the summer as he was not part of Thiago Motta’s plans.
How much Liverpool will pay for Juventus and Italy star Chiesa
For these reasons, Juventus’ asking price was just €15m, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the Bianconeri agreed to let the player go for a fee slightly above €13m.
Juventus will officially announce the transfer fee once Chiesa signs his contract with Liverpool.
Cristiano Giuntoli met Chiesa’s agent on Tuesday night and the Reds finalised the agreement with Juventus and their player the following day.
It’s been a busy day in Turin today as the Bianconeri have also welcomed Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta.
Good news for all parties but inter
As a Liverpool fc fan what a bargain a top top player is moving to us
great player but why would inter need him? they have lautaro/thuram/taremi/arnautovic upfront, and you certainly don’t think chiesa would play wingback in 3 5 2 ?
actually this is terrible choice for chiesa since liverpool have wingers in abundance.
he should go to barca, they do not have left winger and it would be a parfect match.
This is a big loss for Milan. Again, they show their lack of desire to build a strong squad in the name of mediocrity.
