Juventus want at least €25-30m for USMNT international Weston McKennie, but a sale for €11.5m in January would be enough to avoid a capital loss, according to reports in Italy.

McKennie joined Juventus from Schalke in 2020 for an initial €4.5m deal with an option to buy.

Juventus made his move permanent the following March for €18.5m and, as reportedly by Calciomercato.com, the midfielder’s amortised cost at the moment is €14.8m. It will drop to €11.5m in January and €8.2m at the end of the season.

This means that any sale for a higher fee in January or June will allow Juventus to register a capital gain.

However, with the Old Lady confirming a loss of €239.3m for 2021-2022, the club aims to get much more from the sale of the 24-year-old who is described by the Italian outlet as the ‘most likely midfielder’ to leave Juventus in January or during the summer.

Juventus have reportedly targeted Alexis Mac Allister and Lazio‘s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but need to sell at least one of their midfielders to sign one of their targets in the middle of the park.
