According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Paul Pogba has already cost Juventus over €5m in wages and it’s hard to imagine the Frenchman making his ‘second’ debut with the Bianconeri before February.

The France international underwent meniscus surgery in September after conservative treatment didn’t work out.

Therefore, he missed the World Cup in Qatar, while Juventus are still waiting for his full recovery.

According to Gazzetta, Juventus have already spent €5.24m in wages for a player who has only made one appearance in a summer friendly since a free transfer from Manchester United last summer.

Juventus boss Allegri said on Saturday that the Frenchman hasn’t run on the pitch yet and doesn’t know when he will return to action. According to the report, Pogba is unlikely to be back for the big match against Napoli on January 13 and could be back in February.

Pogba returned to Turin after six years at Manchester United. He played his last game with the Red Devils in April. The 29-year-old has signed a contract until 2026 at the Allianz Stadium.
