Nicolò Zaniolo is convinced to sign a contract extension with Roma and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he could get €4-5m with a new deal in the capital.
The player’s agent Claudio Vigorelli met Roma director Tiago Pinto in Milan yesterday and according to multiple reports in Italy, the two parties have decided to stick together.
Roma rejected an offer from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham this summer, so they will work on Zaniolo’s renewal starting from September.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Zaniolo will be offered a salary worth Roma’s top players, so around €4-5m per year.
His current €2.5m-a-year deal runs out in June 2024 and Roma will offer him to extend until 2027.
Zaniolo started in Roma’s 1-0 win over Salernitana on Sunday and was responsible for scoring the winner in the Conference League Final against Feyenoord in May, helping Roma win their first European trophy in history.
