Victor Osimhen is growing more inclined to accept a recent €160m contract offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, who still need to negotiate an appropriate fee with Napoli.
Al-Ahli prepare Osimhen offer for Napoli
According to updates on Thursday evening, Al-Ahli are prepared to offer Napoli a fixed fee of €68m, as per transfer expert Ben Jacobs.
That is significantly lower, almost 50% less than the €130m release clause that was inserted into Osimhen’s contract when he renegotiated his deal with Napoli last year.
Al-Ahli, who sent delegates to Italy this week with the intention of closing a deal, are also hoping to have an agreement wrapped up sooner rather than later. The Serie A transfer market will shut later this week, but the Saudi window will remain open until October 6.
Osimhen has also been subject of interest from Chelsea over the last week. Enzo Maresca’s side were willing to offer the Nigerian around €10m per season in wages, roughly the same as what he currently earns with Napoli.

68m for Osimhen would be rotten. Truly awful. They’ve made such a mess of this, though in Napoli’s defence, it was surprising that there weren’t more big clubs serious about signing him.
