Milan have a two-point lead over Inter with two games remaining and could become Serie A champions with a game to spare this weekend.

Stefano Pioli’s men host Atalanta at San Siro tomorrow (17.00  UK time) while the Nerazzurri play away at Cagliari at (19.45).

The Rossoneri will become Serie A champions if they beat Atalanta and Inter don’t win in Sardinia. They could also draw against La Dea, but in that case, they’d need Inter to lose against Cagliari.

In any other circumstance, the Serie A title race will be decided in the last match, with Milan visiting Sassuolo and Inter hosting Sampdoria at the Stadio Meazza.

The Rossoneri have a better head-to-head record against their city rivals this term, meaning they’d win their first Scudetto in 11 years if they end the season level on points with Inter.

Simone Inzaghi has already won two trophies in his first campaign with the Nerazzurri and is looking for a domestic treble. The Nerazzurri beat Juventus in the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia Finals.
