According to Sport.es, Inter and Milan were offered the chance to sign Pedri in 2019, but both Milanese sides failed to secure a deal for the Barcelona starlet.

The 19-year-old is probably the most exciting prospect in Europe and won the Kopa Trophy for the Best U21 player in the world in 2021.

The Spaniard joined Barcelona in a reported €4m deal from Las Palmas in 2019 and according to Diario Sport in Spain, he had been offered to Inter and Milan before his move to the Nou Camp.

Las Palmas’ Italian director Rocco Maiorino is mentioned as the man who offered Pedri to both Milanese clubs. According to the report, Milan were not interested in the midfielder, while Inter made their move, but ex Barcelona chief Ramon Planes had already persuaded Pedri to join the Catalans and was also in advanced talks with Las Palmas. Pedri has played 13 games across all competitions with Barcelona this season, scoring two goals.

  1. No surprise if true.

Italian teams are too busy spending what little money they have on the next 30 year-old waster from the epl on huge wages, just so they can have a “name” to sign.

Not many nations are as lazy as Italy when it comes to signing top youngsters.
