Sky Sport Italia reports Milan could sign three players in the January transfer window as they need at least two defenders and a centre forward.
The Rossoneri boss Stefano Pioli has limited options in defence, with Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer as the only fit centre-backs currently, although the Dane only returned last weekend against Monza.
Given the circumstances, it’s no surprise that Sky Sport Italia reports the Serie A giants want to get a new central defender when the January transfer window opens next month.
Milan have been linked with Jakub Kiwior and Clement Lenglet, but Matteo Gabbia’s return from his loan at Villarreal is also an option.
According to Sky, Gabbia’s return is the most likely scenario, while Real Betis’ Juan Miranda is Milan’s main target for the left-back position where the Rossoneri want to find a backup for Theo Hernandez.
Real Betis confirmed Milan’s interest in Miranda on Tuesday.
As for the striker role, the first two names for Milan are Serhou Guirassy and Lille’s Jonathan David. Guirassy seems a more feasible target because of his €17m clause, but the 27-year-old will be involved in the AFCON with his country, Guinea, next month.
