Juventus will be without Arkadiusz Milik for at least a couple of weeks after he was diagnosed with an adductor strain.

The centre-forward is out of the squad for Sunday’s Serie A match against Genoa and will also be unable to accept the international call-up from Poland.

A statement on the club website confirms that Milik has been diagnosed with a Grade I lesion to the long adductor in his left thigh following a problem in training on Friday.

The player is undergoing treatment and will have further tests in 10-15 days.

That suggests he will be out for closer to three weeks and is therefore in doubt for the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Lazio on April 2.

The 30-year-old has contributed six goals and one assist in 28 competitive appearances for Juventus so far this season.

It is a concern for Juve, as Carlos Alcaraz is also out of action with a muscular problem.

However, there was one boost, as after almost a year, Mattia De Sciglio is back in the squad following anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
