Juventus signed Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria in the January transfer window and here’s how the Bianconeri could line up starting from the next weekend.
The Bianconeri will host Hellas Verona at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday in their first match after the break.
Juventus brought many reinforcements in January, signing the likes of Dusan Vlahovic on a permanent €80m deal from Fiorentina and Denis Zakaria for €4.5m from Borussia Monchengladbach.
They have also secured the services of Federico Gatti from Frosinone, but the 23-year-old defender will remain on loan at the Serie B club until the end of the season.
Vlahovic can play as a centre forward or close to a striking partner. Allegri can also pick Morata, Moise Kean or Paulo Dybala in attack, although the Argentinean striker will mostly play as an attacking midfielder behind the ex-Fiorentina star.
In a 4-3-3 line-up with Cuadrado, Dybala and Vlahovic up front, Dybala would often move close to Vlahovic with Adrien Rabiot moving on the left, creating a sort of 4-4-2, especially when defending.
With Dejan Kulusevski off to Tottenham Hotspur and Federico Chiesa out for the rest of the season, Allegri will likely use Cuadrado as an attacking winger with Weston McKennie on the opposite flank.
This means Danilo will likely get regular playing time at right-back.
Both Federico Bernardeschi and Kean can also be deployed as left wingers.
As for Zakaria, the Swiss international has mostly played in a two-man midfield and Allegri has been using both a 4-2-3-1 line-up and a 4-3-3 formation this term.
Should he pick a two-man midfield, Zakaria will likely partner Manuel Locatelli in the middle of the park, while Arthur or Rabiot will be added when the Tuscan tactician deploys a 4-3-3 formation.
Why is Alex Sandro appearing in all the formations?
Are Luca Pellegrini and De Sciglio dead?
@Cypher, is that you, Major Zero? 😉
They are the regular starters, of course there are other options as well.
Maybe because De Sciglio is trash? He constantly got toasted by Leao. So much so that they had to double team him in the second half.
@Vero Rosso… ya that’s why Leao got subbed @ 60 mins XD
@pepsy Milan couldn’t waste such talent on a juve team that was praying for a draw and could not muster a shot on goal
Allegri now have a striker!!!
I cant wait to hear his next excuse, hahaha!!!
Allegri back? ZERU TITULI
has the best striker in the league, no more excuses
I stopped reading when I saw McKennie as a left winger
@The Master 100%. He is useless.
Not sure why Moratta ain’t there. I think it will be him and Vlahovic with Dybala just behind. With Locatelli, Zakaria and and McKennie in midfield. Cuadrado at RB.
Who knows maybe Dybala will be dropped for Cuadrado further up. Allegri has always liked to big strikers up top.
@Cypher I also have to agree with you, Pellegrini has played way better this season then Sandro. Pellegrini’s discipline is not the best though as he always picks up stupid cards. I would rather play Danilo or Cuardrado on the right wing then De Sciglio. McKennie should be not on the wing at all, I would rather prefer him in mid 3. As for attack it will definitely be Vlahovic and Dybala as the 3rd attacker use Cuardrado or Morata.
I have to admit that Juventus did some really good work in the market, but everyone should calm down with Zakaria. He looks like a solid player, but he is a defensive midfielder. Until their midfield has some creativity Vlahovic will not get the supply esp with Sideways Sandro not able to cross, take on any man and move the ball forward. Gatti will go the way of Romero as grandad Max only likes the old, slow tires. Either way he has less excuses but the slow football is his philosophy. It is going to be interesting if Conte turns Kulusevski into the player he could become and yet again will reflect poorly on grandad Max. Even if Bentancur shows 5% improvement in a more demanding league that will expose the grandad once again.
I don’t see much changing. Their midfield looks the same, they got a defensive mid with Zakaria to replace Rabiot(ghost) and Bentancur I guess. Vlahovic replaces cr7 but Dybala as the lone attacking playmaker will go nowhere, defenses will just bottle him up as I don’t think he has the strength to be the lone creator in the mid. I hate to say it but I think your gonna need Arthur to distribute the ball provided he doesn’t f’ things up. I just don’t see Locatelli and Zakaria as being great ball distributors to the front.
Everything depends on how good Zakaria, hope he can wear multiple hats if not same problems continue.
All hail the Serbian Andy carroll. A true gobbo. overpriced, overpaid, overrated and lacking in heart and loyalty. joined by the new momo Sissoko from borrusia m. world beaters.
I stopped reading after I realize Allegri is still coaching this team.
Why let Kulu go when you short on wingers ? This squad is very unbalanced…
A great pacy clone of Coman and Chiesa next year please. Keep Dybala
442
Cuadradro, De Ligt, Bonucci, ?
Chiesa, Locatelli, Zakaria, Coman/Chiesa-clone
Dybala, Vlahovic
It’s been a good window, but let’s not go over the top. This squad needs a total rejuvenation – new signings at LB, CM, CAM, LW and probably another striker for it to be complete. There’s still far too much deadwood and with Allegri being mr defensive, I don’t see our playing style changing much with these January signings.
Vlahovic will need to make do with a team that certainly won’t create a lot of chances but at 75m he better finish the ones he does get.
Talk of the Champions League is utterly laughable at this point
Morata might actually do better out wide-left.
Sczcesny
Danilo – Bonucci – De Ligt – Sandro/Pellegrini
Locatelli – Zakaria
Cuadrado – Dybala – Morata
Vlahovic
Left-back is a problem, and so are a few other positions, but they have improved themselves over the winter for sure.
Rosario is a clown.
Juve haters keep commenting. Face your team and leave juve alone
I don’t know why he gave up on the 3-5-2
That formation won us titles
Kossy, thats the reason why we have beaten u the last times xD
Go back to bbilan forum, thats the place where u belong “expert”
Rosario. nbetter than ur giiroud or caicedo. U sound like a 7 year old girl . Play chess or go to balett.Seems legit for u xD
Vlahovic is a juve fan so that’s always where his loyalty lies. Juve have a good team now so there’s no excuse for losing. I expect top 3. And semi finals of champions league. Admitedly it might take time to gel. Another cb in the summer would be nice. Romagnoli is more than welcome.
