Juventus have fined Paul Pogba, but the France international is expected to be available against Sampdoria on Sunday after being left out of the squad for disciplinary reasons in a 1-0 win Europa League win over Eintracht.

The former Manchester United midfielder arrived late for the retreat at the J Hotel on the eve of Thursday’s Europa League clash against the Bundesliga side at the Allianz Stadium.

For this reason, he was left out of the squad list and fined by the Old Lady, as confirmed by director Francesco Calvo on Thursday.

Pogba has only played two games across all competitions this term, missing the first part of the campaign with a meniscus surgery suffered during the pre-season.

He was subbed on in the last two Serie A matches against Torino and Roma and is expected to be available on Sunday when Dejan Stankovic’s Sampdoria travel to Turin.

“I think Pogba arrived on time tonight, so he will be available from tomorrow [today],” said a smiling Massimiliano Allegri during a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia on Thursday.

Pogba signed a four-year deal at the Allianz Stadium last summer, returning to Juventus as a free agent from Manchester United for the second time in his career.

The latest Gazzetta report claims Pogba arrived late on Wednesday after disappointing performances in training in the previous few days.

The pink paper confirms Juventus directors are unhappy with Pogba although it is still too early to know whether this would jeopardise his future in Turin.

  1. I predicted this months ago. Pogba is a bust. Seems like he has lost motivation to be a top level footballer.
