Italian sports papers analyse the transfers completed by Serie A clubs in January. Juventus were by far the best team, while Milan and Lazio got low grades.

The Old Lady secured the services of Dusan Vlahovic, Denis Zakaria and Federico Gatti. The defender will remain on loan at Frosinone until the end of the season.

Juventus also sent Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur to Tottenham Hotspur, while Aaron Ramsey has joined Rangers on loan.

On the other hand, Milan signed 18-year-old striker Marko Lazetic from Red Star, ending Pietro Pellegri’s loan. The striker has joined Torino on a temporary deal via Monaco.

Serie A leaders Inter signed Robin Gosens and Felipe Caicedo and loaned Stefano Sensi to Sampdoria until the end of the season.

After sending Gosens to Inter, Atalanta signed Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo and Valentin Mihaila from Parma.

5 thought on “How Italian media rate January transfers in Serie A”
  1. HAHA How can you rate players they have bought without them playing a single minute?

Dont get me wrong vhlahovic is a good signing but he could also be an absolute flop an Juve, there have been so many big transfers in the last 3-5 years Countiho over £100 million, Dembele over £100 million, i would go as far as saying Messi to PSG and they have all been flops.

They need to be Judged at the end of the season.

  2. They didn’t rate the players, but the level of activity by each club to improve the squads. I agree that it’s kinda pointless though.

  3. I get that my point being is you can have as much activity as you like but you cant judge that at all until they play and see what happens in the second part of the season.

By the way i support Milan, and i dont think we need anyone until the summer transfer window, we have had injury after injury and covid outbreaks but we have got our players back now and will be fine, Kalulu has steppend up Tomori will be back in 3 weeks and we are back to full strength.

So in my opinion we dint spend silly money like Juventus did they could have waited and got vhlahovic on a free but went and spent £70 million.

Milan will buy the players they need in the summer i have no doubts about it.

  4. I’m glad we didn’t just sign any defender, too, Kalulu is doing well, but I continue to believe Milan made mistake by not signing an attacking midfielder to replace Hakan, first in the summer and then in January.
