The former Prime Minister of Italy was hospitalised last week with cardiovascular issues and was diagnosed with pneumonia. It was later revealed that Berlusconi had been diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this month, and he has already started chemotherapy.

Support for Berlusconi has poured in from the world of Italian football, with various players and directors talking about the former Milan owner’s condition and giving their best wishes.

San Raffaele hospital, where Berlusconi has been admitted since Wednesday last week, released an update today on the 86-year-old’s condition, sharing their optimism.
