The midfielder took over the number in the summer from Carlos Tevez, with the shirt previously having been worn by Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini.

“When I put the Juve shirt on it’s always an honour, because I know that at Juventus the number 10 is very important,” Pogba told JTV.

“Really great players have had it – Platini, Baggio, Del Piero – so it’s an honour for me to play with this number.

“I tell myself I have to do as well as them, otherwise everyone will be waiting for me and they’ll kill me!

“I have to do well, I have to respect this number, this shirt.”

The Bianconeri drew with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League in midweek, meaning they only need a point against Manchester City to ensure qualification.

“We know that Juventus are on a higher level than Borussia, and it’s always more difficult to play against a smaller club, we were away from home too.

“We wanted to win, and after the red card it was difficult.

“City? We always want to win, so we’ll have to see. The most important thing is to get through, if we have to get a draw… I don’t know, I’m not the Coach.

“If we have to go through and we need a draw we won’t force it, but primarily we want to win.”

Finally, the 22-year-old was asked about his goals for the rest of his career.

“One day I want to win the Ballon d’Or, the Champions League, the World Cup… I want to win it all,” Pogba declared.
