Keisuke Honda’s potential unavailability through January will reportedly see Milan decide to try and sign Liverpool’s Suso then.

The Rossoneri are generally accepted as having reached agreement with the Spanish winger on a move to San Siro, with the only detail remaining on whether he will arrive in January for a small fee, or at the end of his Anfield contract next June.

The Corriere della Sera believe that the first scenario may be the most likely, in anticipation of the club losing Keisuke Honda during the midseason.

The Japan international is expected to be selected by his country for the 2015 Asian Cup and this will rule him out for Milan for the entire month of January.

However, at this stage it is understood that any winter bid for Suso would see Liverpool request between €2m and €3m as a transfer fee.
