The Rossoneri beat Torino 1-0 with a Luca Antonelli strike, but Honda’s free kick cracked against the crossbar.
“We played well. We’ve lost only one game in 2016 and have a lot of confidence,” the Japan international told Mediaset Premium.
“There’s a great atmosphere, now there are many important games coming up and we have to continue like this, remaining concentrated.
“Getting third place is difficult, but we have to believe. We’ve got the chance of achieving it. Fiorentina are playing well, as are Inter and Roma, so we must keep winning and see what happens.”
Honda had been critical of his position and the style of football, but was asked if Mihajlovic should remain as Coach next season.
“Of course. We are winning many games and have to go forward. When we play badly, he helps us and I hope the fans are also behind him.
“Nothing has changed, I am still playing the way I did before. I always put the effort in during training and on match day.”
