The Giallorossi won the first European trophy in their history in Tirana last night, beating Feyenoord 1-0 thanks to a Nicolò Zaniolo goal in the first half.
The Italy starlet has had a key role in this European campaign having scored a hat-trick in the second leg of the quarter-finals at the Stadio Olimpico against Bodo/Glimt in mid-March.
Zaniolo, 22, posted a picture on Instagram while holding the Conference League last night, writing ‘Storia’ (history).
His friend and teammate Abraham did something similar posting the same message on Twitter and Instagram.
“I came. We believed. We achieved. History is made! EUROPEAN CHAMPS!!! Dajeeeeee Roma,” wrote the former Chelsea star posting a picture of celebration and one with the cup and the winner’s medal.
More than 3,000 fans welcomed the team at Fiumicino airport last night, giving their heroes a warm welcome after their achievement in Tirana.
