North Macedonia have scored their first goal in a major tournament and of course it was veteran Goran Pandev who opened the account.

The 37-year-old extended his career to be part of the European Championship this summer and the Genoa forward pounced when the chance arose in Bucharest.

Austria were 1-0 up when their goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann fumbled the ball and Pandev was at the right place at the right time to level the score after 28 minutes.

In his last season and in North Macedonia’s first major competition, former Inter, Napoli and Lazio forward Pandev continues to be decisive.

The veteran, capped 117 times, has scored his 37th international goal.

It’s 1-1 at half-time between Austria and North Macedonia, you can follow the match live HERE.
