Some suggest the Premier League side are prepared to pay the full sum, while Il Messaggero maintains Sarri will take a pay cut (receiving €5m per year rather than €6m) to help push it through.
The issue now moves on to transfer strategy and Tuttosport predict a domino effect.
Higuain had the best season of his career at Napoli under Sarri, setting a new all-time Serie A record in 2015-16 with 36 goals in 35 games.
He left to join Juventus, who activated the €90m release clause in his contract, but the pair never disguised their mutual affection, respect and desire to work together again.
The idea of Higuain reuniting with Sarri at Stamford Bridge is gathering steam, especially as it would allow Morata to go back to Juventus.
Sarri would also like to bring Kalidou Koulibaly to London, but that is less likely, as the Senegal international does not have a release clause in his Napoli contract and is valued at over €100m.
