It had been suggested that Pipita could return for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he trained separately yesterday.

With the return leg against Tottenham Hotspur to come in the Champions League, Coach Massimiliano Allegri won’t take any risks with Higuain, and at most he could make the bench tomorrow.

Also out are Juan Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio, but Sami Khedira will be back after being rested for the postponed game with Atalanta.

That match is likely to be played on March 14 at 17.00 UK time, though the Lega Serie A will have to get permission from UEFA.

The game would clash with Besiktas-Bayern Munich in the Champions League, which is forbidden under the rules of the competition, but an exception will likely be made as the match in Turkey is at an unusual time, not the standard 19.45.
