Gonzalo Higuain says he has a 'good understanding' with Coach Maurizio Sarri and believes Napoli's objectives are 'in our own hands'.

The 27-year-old is seen by some as the best striker in Serie A at this moment as his goals and his game are opening new horizons for the Partenopei.

In an interview with La Repubblica, Higuain was asked about the team's objectives.

“They're in our hands. We're a compact and solid team, and we can do nothing but improve game after game.

In an interview with La Repubblica, Higuain was asked about the team's objectives.

“They're in our hands. We're a compact and solid team, and we can do nothing but improve game after game.

“We must keep going on this path, having faith in what we're doing.

“Napoli are proving their strength, the victory in Warsaw was another step forward.”

The Argentine then went on to discuss his relationship with the Azzurri's new Coach Maurizio Sarri.

“We talk very much. Sustaining a good dialogue with your Coach is essential for a footballer.

“I have a good understanding with Sarri, ever since the first day of the pre-seasonal training.

“Sarri was close to me during the summer, he made me feel at ease and at the heart of his tactical project.

“It's nice to feel someone's respect and under these premises it wasn't difficult to start a good relationship.”
