Salcedo did finally give Hellas the lead within 33 seconds of the restart by leaping above the crowd to meet the Darko Lazovic cross.

Federico Dimarco’s free kick was also deflected onto the crossbar, but Spezia held on and snatched the equaliser with substitute Saponara nutmegging Marco Silvestri.
