Corriere della Sera are reporting that Inter are lining up a summer transfer bid for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.

The Nerazzurri have already lured Nemanja Vidic from Old Trafford to San Siro recently and are now said to want the Mexican to further boost their ranks.

“Contact between Inter and Hernandez has started and talks are going well,” the newspaper says.

“Hernandez is the type of player Erick Thohir wants to bring to the club.

“His tactical characteristics are interesting because he is a player who knows how to play both as a first or second striker, so he could work well with both Palacio and Icardi.

“Inter are very keen on signing the Mexican international and they know they could take him from United without having to pay a fortune.

“The English club signed him from Chivas on 1 July 2010 and paid £6m for him.”
