Theo Hernandez has confirmed that he has no intention of leaving Milan in the near future.

The 24-year-old French left back has been recently linked with Premier League side Chelsea following his strong performances for the Rossoneri this season, but for now he is not planning a move away from the Lombardy capital.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of Milan’s clash against Empoli, Hernandez discussed his situation, saying ‘I’m satisfied with my year, I’m very happy here. We play this match and then there is a week of rest.’

Hernandez also noted that he was not concerned about his lack of goals, highlighting that ‘I’m a full-back, not a striker. But I’m happy, I’m going to be a dad soon.’

The 24-year-old Hernandez, who is contracted to Milan until 2024, has recently returned to the Rossoneri squad after suffering from a fever. The French full back has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1543 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists.

The former Atletico Madrid man has an estimated market value of €50m and is considered to be one of the most important players in Stefano Pioli’s squad.
