Hernandez: ‘I’m back’

Palermo striker Abel Hernandez has reassured fans that he is finally back on form after a long injury.

The 20-year-old Uruguay international scored in last weekend's 4-2 win over Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare.

"You can say that my season started in Lecce," he said. "Coming on and scoring a goal was really important.

"The most difficult moment in these last few months was the start of the game against Lazio. I started well then got injured again. It's a shame. Now I am happy to be back."

Asked about talk of him partying too much, Hernandez said: "They're rumours that make me angry and anyway how can I have parties at my house with friends until late? It seems a little difficult given that my parents have been living with me by now for six months.

"I am 20. Every now and again, I go clubbing, but it's not true that it happens every weekend and that I haven't trained. These rumours aren't true nor are they right."
