Abel Hernandez says he’s delighted to be playing in Serie B after initially looking to leave Palermo in the summer.

“How close was I to a transfer? That doesn’t matter now,” the Uruguayan international told Sky Sport Italia.

“A few situations were not finalised, but, in the end, I’m happy with the decision I made in staying at Palermo.

“I’ll give my all for my teammates, the Coach and the fans. I’m at 100 per cent mentally and my mind has always been on Palermo.”

The centre-forward, linked with the likes of Genoa, Sassuolo” data-scaytid=”4″>Sassuolo and Catania, has started the campaign well.

Hernandez is the Division’s joint top scorer with three goals after his brace in Sunday’s important 3-0 win over Padova.
