Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to take legal action against Juventus demanding to receive deferred wages and a new hearing has been set for October 4, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken legal action against his former club who have allegedly not paid him over €19m from deferred wages.

Ronaldo is believed to be among the Juventus players who agreed to a ‘salary manoeuvre’ after the COVID pandemic in 2020 to help the club keep costs under control.

According to Thursday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 29), a new hearing will take place on Wednesday, October 4 next week.

Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 appearances for Juventus, where he played for three years, from 2018 until 2019.

The Portugal international joined the Old Lady from Real Madrid for over €100m and left for circa €15m, returning to Manchester United.

Neither Juventus nor the player has ever discussed the matter publicly.
