The Slovenian international’s contract expires at the end of next season, and the former Udinese man has so far yet to sign a new deal.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that an offer to stay until 2018 is on the table, but Handanovic has still not accepted that proposal, as he wants to play in the Champions League.

That would put Roma in the frame, with Tuttosport reporting that the Giallorossi and Barcelona are in pole position for his signature.

The newspaper believes a fee of €15m would be enough to convince the Nerazzurri to sell this summer, rather than risk losing their player for free next summer.
