Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic says he will sign a new contract ‘in the next few days’ following a Milan derby win.

The Slovenia international’s current deal is set to expire next summer and an extension has been the subject of a long-running stand-off between player and club.

However, the 31-year-old says that an agreement should be found soon, with the Nerazzurri top of the league after three consecutive wins.

“I’m happy to have stayed here,” he told Sport Mediaset.
