Inter have reportedly reached an agreement with Samir Handanovic for a contract extension until 2019. 

The 31-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2016 and the Nerazzurri have been working towards a renewal for several months.

Calciomercato.com have reported today that both parties have finally found terms for the Slovenia international to extend his stay at San Siro for another three years.

The website believes that he will sign a deal worth €2.5m per season, with an official announcement expected in November or December.

However, the goalkeeper’s agent Federico Pastorello also represents Nerazzurri full-back Yuto Nagatomo and is believed to be pushing for the promise of a new deal for the Japan international.

Inter are believed to be unwilling to offer Nagatomo a new contract and he is set to be released next summer.

The website believes that the other potential stumbling block surrounds the question of a release clause.

The player’s entourage are believed to be requesting a release clause of €10m, while the San Siro giants are unwilling to insert such a clause into the deal.
