“We want to get back out there, as it doesn’t feel like our last game was that long ago,” the goalkeeper told Inter TV.
He’s not wrong, as the Nerazzurri played in the Europa League Final against Sevilla on August 21, losing 3-2.
“This is an important test, as Giuseppe Iachini’s teams tend to be well-organised and they caused us a lot of problems last season too.
“We have to focus on our own attack and ensuring they don’t get the space to counter. Fiorentina are a very good team and have reinforced over the summer, so it’s a good test to see where Inter are right now.”
There are 1,000 fans at San Siro, as the lockdown measures are eased in Italy.
“It’s not many, but it’s better than nothing. I am in favour of having more fans, but it’s not up to me, there are specialists who will know when it’s right to open the stadiums further.”
