Hamsik: ‘Never seen such Napoli’

Marek Hamsik claims he's 'never seen' Napoli play such good football, whilst turning down a move to Real Madrid.

The Vesuviani captain recently won the prize for best Slovakian player for the fifth time, and he released some statements during the awards ceremony.

“I'm very pleased to win this prize again,” he told the Press, as reported by CalcioNapoli24.it. “We'll do everything we can to do well in France.

The Vesuviani captain recently won the prize for best Slovakian player for the fifth time, and he released some statements during the awards ceremony.

“I'm very pleased to win this prize again,” he told the Press, as reported by CalcioNapoli24.it. “We'll do everything we can to do well in France.

“Football is fun, which is what I'm feeling this season with Napoli. It's a historical moment for our national team and I'm proud to be part of it.

“Football is a team sport and it's thanks to all of my teammates that we can do well internationally.”

Then Hamsik's attention turned to club football and to Napoli.

“Our objective is to win the final eight games, because I doubt that Juventus will always get the perfect result. They could lose a few points.

“But we're not looking at the Bianconeri. We only think of ourselves and about making as many points as possible. We'll see about the rest.

“Hope never dies and we'll believe in it until the end. I've been in Napoli for a while but I've never seen a team play so well.

“I never felt this way in the previous seasons and I'm enjoying this game with my teammates.

“Real Madrid? I have a contract with Napoli and I'm really not thinking of leaving. I'm pleased about what we're doing, but we'll see.

“[Coach Zinedine] Zidane didn't call me, but then again not many people know my phone number. These are just rumours going round, I haven't received any actual offer.”
